HELP! My Betta fish is gulping for air and rapidly losing color!?

There are many things wrong here. Tank is too small, no thermometer or heater, no filter, and I'm willing to bet when you changed the entire tank water when you should really only do 25% a couple days max, but thats a little tricky when your tank is so cruely small. Fish do better in water that is slightly below or above ideal temperature than they do in constantly changing waters. Think about it, in the wild is there ever a fish that has its entire surroundings changed in an instant?. This I why you're supposed to float new fish in a bag before putting them in a tank, and change a fraction of the water at a time. Water temperature and ph level changes kill. Then you shook the water to a fish that cant handle currents and lives in stagnant water.

So, in summary:
tank is too small.
no heater or thermometer
no filter
too big of water changes
sudden changes in water ph levels
sudden changes in water temperature
sudden unpredictable current (spoon)

Pick your favorite.

Tank is too small. Betta Fish need 3G+. 4g is good. Get a filter rather than plants. Lower the water

level so he doesn't have trouble getting air from the surface. You totally just shocked him by putting

warm water in there. There is no telling if he will survive as you just shocked him. Betta fish breath

air from the surface so make sure he doesn't have trouble getting air or he will suffocate. <
