If you mean clown loach, they need to be in a shoal of 5-8 or more, they grow t0 8-12 bulky inches each and require a a large, well established tank of no less then 72 inches long.
Bettas are aggressive, they will not allways get along with other tankmates, they are not calle fighter fish fo nothing.
A 5 gallon tank is only big enough for a single betta fish.
