Can i keep three guppies in a 2.5 gallon tank?

NO NO NO. NO fish should be living in less then 10 gallons long term. Not even a 5 gallon tank would be ok. Guppies are happier in tanks 10 gallons or more. If you get a 10 gallon you can add two more guppies and make it a group of five.

You can. If you keep a close eye on the water quality they probably won't die on you.
There is one problem with these pesky fish: they like to swim. Guppies are active and in a 2.5 gallon tank they don't have enough room to swim around. In short they won't be happy. Unhappy fish tend not to show their best coloration or their natural behavior which, in return, makes their owner unhappy. So if you really want guppies consider getting a larger tank.
Or if you want to use your 2.5 gallon tank, why don't you get small shrimp like cherry shrimp instead? They are colorful, entertaining, have low bioload so you can keep a bunch of them, and aren't that much into that whole swimming thing, so they wouldn't mind living in such a small tank.

Could and should are 2 different things. You could, but guppies poop more than you think. A guppy per gallon is an okay guideline, but it really would be better to give them like 1.5-2 gallons.

Endlers are similar to guppies and would be a better trio choice.

Be sure to do all males. No breeding.

yes
it's bull that people say one guppy per gallon cuz I have over 30 guppies in my 10 gal and some snails and shrimps and even a betta and it's been 5+ years

Don't select the best answer just because you like what it says. You should consider that that person didn't include any reason why its okay. Where as these people know what they are talking about yet you declined to listen to them because you would rather not have to pay for a new tank or get rid of your fish. <
